IES Magallanes is a high school in San Isidro, a small village which is part of the town of Granadilla in the south of the island of Tenerife, in the Canary Islands. The school has 69 teachers who teach about 700 students aged from 12 to 18 years and a group of adult students learning zawodu- sanitary engineering and painting. The students come from diverse social groups. In some classes the school runs classes by integrating the content of the curriculum with a foreign language (CLIL) and tries to open his school in Europe by improving the quality of teaching.

Working with young people who often do not recognize the value of comprehensive education, take part in many actions, such as participation in shaping programs citizenship Young People Vote and Letter Writing Marathon of Amnesty International, organize competitions allowing students to recognize their talent, such as the Patriotic Song Review and Overview talents.
The school also takes care of the development of interest in science. In the upcoming school year, we plan to open branches of the leading items: mathematics, physics, computer science (profile polytechnic), geography, English (European profile) and the class of nature.
